Wood Streets Neighborhood in Riverside, CA

The Wood Streets are a residential subdivision that make up close to a square mile. This neighborhood has a strong sense of community and offers a very traditional aesthetic. Until the early 1900’s this area was dedicated to orange groves and when the city decided to extend Magnolia Avenue to connect with Main and Market Streets, one of the first of a cluster of subdivisions called Homewood Court was built. Most houses were built in the late teen and 1920’s. The grid layout of the streets, the narrow width and landscaping all make this area is a great representation of typical So Cal architectural styles between 1916-1940.
