Corona Map

Corona is a vast city consisting of 5 major zip codes and sprawls along the 15 Freeway from Norco to the North to Lake Elsinore in the South. Each zip code has it’s own flare and amenities to offer the people that live there. Rich in history, the story of Corona can be told through a tour of the nearly 40 square miles that make up the city. Corona is Spanish for “Crown” and the city received it’s name in July of 1896 when the community voted to incorporate and chose a name to honor the City’s circular Grand Boulevard. Corona has experienced much growth over the years and has said goodbye to some of it’s historical buildings to pave the way for new developments. Fortunately, Corona has many residents that participate in the Corona Historic Preservation Society and are active in keeping history alive. However, as time passed and the 91 and 15 Freeways were developed, communities like Sierra del Oro, Corona Hills, and South Corona paved the way for more people to seek out South Corona as the place to live. More recent developments such as Dos Lagos and Corona Crossings have made it easier for the residents to continue growth towards Lake Elsinore.

Eastvale is a fairly new city that incorporated in 2010. Prior to becoming it’s own city, this area was referred to as the “unincorporated part of Corona” or sometimes Corona Valley. Eastvale is centrally located between the cities of Chino, Ontario, Norco, and Corona. Prior to being developed at the city we see today, the land was used for farming and primarily known for being filled with dairy farms.

Now Eastvale has become quite a little community providing homes ranging in size from 1,200 square feet to over 4,000 square feet. Retail development has grown greatly since I moved here in 2004. It is still exciting to watch as the city develops it’s business sector. Eastvale Gateway has grown to now offer resturaunts such as Carino’s, Applebee’s, and Regal Entertainment Movie Theater. I still remember when Home Depot was the big draw and you hoped they had what you needed so you wouldn’t have to make the trek into a neighboring city. Lewis Retail Centers have been doing a great job at providing the community’s retail spaces and continued growth. Below is a few of their retail centers in Eastvale last updated in September of 2014. Like any growing city, there is more yet to come!!!

Eastvale Gateway I, II, Eastvale Gateway South & The Marketplace At Enclave in Eastvale

Eastvale Gateway 1 2 and South
The MarketPlace at Enclave in Eastvale, CA

Also advertised on the Lewis website – The Shops at Eastvale Commerce at future project that is to be 116,000 square foot mixed use center.

Lewis is one of many builders that have helped change the landscape from dairy farms to bustling neighborhoods. KB Homes, William Lyons, Warmington, Standard Pacific, and Lennar are a few of the builders that have built out neighborhoods. If you are familiar with Eastvale or have been driving around, you may recognize a few names from the list that help define the neighborhoods withing the city.
